Gordon M.Nutty, 100, of Indianapolis passed away Thursday, March 3. He was born in 1915to Frank and Mary Myrtle Nutty and a family of 12 in Alquina, nearConnersville, IN. Gordon was married 64years to the late Vivian Nutty of Connersville. Until his death, Gordon was theoldest living Indiana State Police retiree with P.E. 234, retiring in 1966 andthen retiring from the Dept. of Natural Resources in 1981. He was also part of Wayne Township FireDepartment. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of Lynhurst Masonic Lodge#723, Toastmasters, State Police Pioneers, Garden City Christian Church,Historical Radio Society and other social organizations. His love oftravel and social love of others will leave a lasting memory of hisever-present smile and laughter.
Gordon was preceded in death by his lovingwife Vivian and son Lanny Ryan and survived by son Jan Paul (Anita),daughter-in-law Annie Nutty, brother Carl and family, grandsons Derek(Fernanda) and Dane (Mike Leepper) and great grandson David Paulo.
Calling will be Sunday, March 6 from 1-7 PMat Flanner & Buchanan-Speedway with a Masonic Service at 6:30 pm.Additional calling on Monday March 07 at the funeral center from 1:30 to 2:30followed by a funeral service at 2:30pm.
