Gloria Ann Kessler went to be with Jesus on June 12, 2025. She passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 88. Gloria was born on December 12, 1936, to Earl Thomas and Dorothy May (Vollmer) Warrick in Peoria, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved younger brother, Earl (Bud) Warrick, Jr.
Gloria was raised on the Westside of Indianapolis and attended Ben Davis High School. She met her husband, Ralph Kessler, in the summer of 1951 at a skating rink. After he returned from Korea, they were married on June 25, 1954. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and GG. Together they raised three daughters, seven grandkids, and nine great grandkids.
Gloria was a homemaker and enjoyed everything pertaining to family life and her kids. She volunteered at a local clothing ministry and was a leader in Bible Study Fellowship for several years. She was a faithful member of Plainfield Christian Church, and her greatest desire was that those she loved also knew and loved Jesus. Her daughters fondly remember her as a very involved mom who supported whatever they found themselves in, whether it was church softball, church choir, ball games, grandkids sports, home projects, or playing cards and games with her loved ones. She cared about her neighbors and was a fierce prayer warrior for everyone she loved.
She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Ralph Kessler, daughters, Vickie (Dusty) Cadwell, Kandy (Ken) Baker, Kelly (Rick) Gamble. She had seven grandchildren, Ryan (Lanell), Brett (Shelby), Kait (Jonathan), Meghan (Wyatt), Kelsey, David, and Aly. She was blessed to have nine great grandchildren, Danika, Kadin, Crew, Saylor, Cashton, Savvy, Aila, Blakely, Knox, as well as her sister-in-law, Deana Warrick, and a close-knit extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, 11:00am-1:00pm at Plainfield Christian Church 800 North Dan Jones Road Plainfield, Indiana with the funeral service immediately following. There will be a private family graveside at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
