Gloria "Glo" Jean Proctor Brown

Gloria was born to Harold and Helen Proctor on 8/31/41 in Chillicothe, OH. She was the 3rd of 5 children: Philip, Katie, Gloria, Betsy and Chris. Some of her favorite memories as a child were spending summers at the farm with all of her cousins. Gloria was a 1959 graduate of Howe High School. Gloria married Dean Ettner later in 1959 and they had 3 children - Michelle, Darin and Penny Ettner.

Gloria and Dean divorced and years later she married Bob Brown on July 8th, 1989, who she was married to until his passing in 2016. Bob and Glo lived a beautiful full life in Indianapolis and then settled in Panama City Beach, FL where they lived for 27 years. They loved playing golf and were members of several country clubs in Indianapolis and Panama City Beach. Gloria loved to write and paint. She was an avid golfer. At one point, she even taught kids to golf.

Gloria is survived by her brother Chris (Kathy) Hanzel, children Michelle (Shelly) Talley, Darin Ettner and Penny Kinney. Grand children - Brittany, Mike, Evan, Kyle and Christopher. Great grandkids - Michael, Kalie, Kyson, Harper and Hazel. One great great grandchild - Kaylani, a niece, Angie, 2 nephews - Clay and Jake and great nieces and nephews - Samantha, Emma, Levi, Lylah, Wyatt

Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Harold, stepfather Robert, mother Helen, brother Philip, sisters Betsy and Katie, and her beloved husband Bob.

Glo will be missed dearly by many friends and family. She was a ray of sunshine, always smiling until dementia dimmed her light. We love you mom.

A gathering will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12-1PM. A memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 1PM. All will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN, 46229.
