Gloria Anne Marsh Palmer

Gloria Anne Marsh Palmer, 71, Indianapolis, went home to be with her Lord March 26, 2022. She was born in Fort Belvoir, VA to Louis Stanley and Elfriede Caroline (Schmitt) Marsh. Gloria was a graduate of Arlington High School. She began her career as a clerical typist at the Finance Center Building at Fort Benjamin Harrison. Throughout her career, Gloria managed and ran the Minton-Capehart Federal Building, the US Federal Courthouse Building, and the Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison. She began her career as a secretary and ended her career running the entire Finance Building which was the same building where she humbly began as an entry level secretary years before. Gloria’s accolades and awards throughout her career are too numerous to count.
Gloria enjoyed camping, travelling, and motorcycle riding with her husband, Mike. She was an amateur HAM radio operator, KB9UNR. She fiercely loved her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them- filling the role of 2nd mom to her two nephews, Adam and Jared. Those who knew her, knew her dog, Harley, was her baby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and DeeDee Marsh of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Michael R. Palmer; one sister: Pam (Dan) Pepmeier of Carmel, Indiana, two nephews: Adam (Elizabeth) Pepmeier of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jared (Maggie) Pepmeier of Carmel, Indiana; and one great-nephew: Logan Pepmeier.
