Glenna Carol McAtee, 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018. Glenna was born on June 5, 1937 to Glen and Carol Heckman in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Glenna was a strong woman and was the rock and foundation to her family throughout her lifetime. Being born the oldest of five children, her brother and sisters always looked upon her for advice and help when they needed. She was always the Matriarch of her family. She spent most of her life as a loving and devoted Mother and homemaker. Glenna loved her family more than anything in the world. After she raised and nurtured her two sons, James Bret and Joseph Bart, they would grow up and go on to have children of their own whom Glenna would devote all her spare time to. She made sure she never missed a birthday or family function of any kind. Her heart was pure gold and she was always giving to others and continued to be a perfect Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother! Glenna made people smile wherever she was present.
Glenna is preceded in death by her Parents, Glen Paul Heckman and Carol Maxine (Crimm) Openshaw; Brother, Bill, and sisters Sandy, and Linda.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving Sons, Bart and wife Denise, Bret and wife Nicole McAtee; four Grandchildren, Megan and husband David, Katie and husband Adam, Jacob and wife Mary Jane, and Matthew and wife Mercedie; five Great Grandchildren, Lucas, Landon, Sophia, Logan, and Maverick, her sister Judy, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
