Glenn Roy Sexton, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 19, 2026. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on September 11, 1940, to William (Bill) and Crystal Sexton.
He retired from his position at Wonder Bread Bakery and took on various odd jobs for a few years before choosing to embrace a leisurely lifestyle.
He took great pleasure in visiting yard sales, estate sales, and flea markets. His collection included knives and firearms. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, and he was also a fan of NASCAR, sprint racing, and drag racing. Many hours were happily spent listening to classic country music.
Glenn is survived by his children Georgia (Mark) Miller, Sarah (Sherri) Sexton, Glenna (Dan) Marciniak, Glen Sexton Jr, and Bill (Michael) Sexton. His grandchildren are Joy (Tony) Gross, Mark (Alison) Miller Jr, Charlie (Leanne) Tinch, and Austin (Courtney) Marciniak. His great-grandchildren include Sophie Gross, Mark Miller III, and Ramona Tinch.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel, his parents, his siblings Herschel Sexton and Almedia Faulkner, and his sister-in-law Janice Sexton. Tragically, Julie Sexton, Glen's wife and his daughter-in-law, also passed away on the very same day.
He is survived by his siblings Shirley Taylor and Hazel Hawkins, along with sisters-in-law Betty Richmond, Lillian (Calvin) Merida, and Donna (Bob) Farber, as well as a multitude of nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held in Glenn's honor on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, 12-2pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will follow at 2pm. Rev. David Drummond will officiate the ceremony. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
