Glenn W. Mauger was a cherished son, brother, uncle, mentor, teacher, and friend, a truly beautiful and gentle soul whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and love to the lives of so many.

Glenn was charismatic, loving, and deeply caring. He had a rare gift for making people feel heard, understood, and accepted. He was always ready to lend an ear, offering patience, compassion, and understanding without judgment. For those fortunate enough to know him, Glenn was someone who could be counted on, not only in times of need, but simply because he cared.

Glenn was a devoted teacher who spent many meaningful years at Cathedral High School, where he built lasting relationships with his students and colleagues. His profound impact reached far beyond the classroom. He believed in people, took the time to get to know them, and left an impression on those whose lives he touched. The relationships he formed throughout his years as an educator reflected the kindness and generosity that defined him.

At home, Glenn found joy in the simple things he loved. He adored his cats and was never afraid to open both his heart and his home to another furry companion in need of love. He loved gardening and took great pride in the beautiful landscape he created and lovingly tended over the years. His home reflected his personality, full of life, beauty, books, music, treasured knick-knacks, and the many little things that brought him happiness.

Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Warren and Margaret Mauger. He leaves behind his brother, David; his niece, Jessica; his nephews, Daniel (Rebecca) and Joshua (Corinne); and his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, Hayley, Ava, Logan, Katherine, Gunnar, and Evelyn. He also leaves behind countless friends, former students, colleagues, and others whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Glenn was the best kind of man: loving, gentle, thoughtful, patient, and genuine. He gave his heart freely to his family, his friends, his students, his animals, and the many people who crossed his path.

His absence will leave an immeasurable space in the lives of those who loved him. He will be missed dearly, remembered fondly, and carried in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

May Glenn's memory forever be a blessing, and may the love he gave so freely continue to live on in all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating Glenn’s life and honoring his memory will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EDT at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway.
