Glenda F. Bohannon, 83, Beech Grove, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023.
She was born on June 3, 1940 in Eva, Alabama before her family moved to Indiana. She was a graduate of Manual High School, where she made several life-long friends. Glenda retired from Thomson Consumer Electronics (RCA) after working there for over 25 years.
She loved spending time with family and friends, shopping, watching sports and playing card games, especially Euchre. She was an avid fan of classic Hollywood films, with one of her favorites being Wizard of Oz. A few of her hobbies were collecting “Glinda the Good Witch” memorabilia and Precious Moments figurines, baking delicious treats, and reading fiction novels.
Glenda is loved and missed by her sister, Sue Laux, brother, Patrick Cobb (Kathy); daughter, Carla Bates (John), son, Kevin Bohannon; six grandchildren, Drew Bowman (Abigail), Jacob Bowman (Kayla), Chad Bohannon (Nicole), Anthony Bohannon, Daymara and Kyara Torres; three great-grandchildren, CJ, Ryland and Thalia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Laverne Cobb and brother-in-law, Ken Laux.
There will be a memorial gathering on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 11am – 1pm with service immediately following at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North.
