Glen Duval Simmons 74, of Carmel,died on December 30, 2012 at IU Health North Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on August 15, 1938, in Indianapolis,Indiana to Walter L. & Helen M. Simmons. He was united in marriage with Beverly A. Wolf on October 11,1959. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this year.
Glen was a graduate of Shortridge High School class of 1953-1954. He worked at State Life Insurance as a computer operator for several years. Glen served in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Berlin Crisis. He then was employed at RCA Records/BMG for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He was the U.S. Director of Communications. He loved sports. He competitively played baseball and softball. Recreationally, he also enjoyed bowling and golf. His greatest joy was his family, who will deeply miss him and always keep him in their hearts. Glen was a wonderful husband, father, grandaddy and great grandad.
Glen is survived by his wife Beverly A. Simmons, his son Steven L. (Georgia) Simmons, his daughter Laurann L.(Robert) Malachowski, Jr., and two granddaughters Kaili M. (Tyler) Espey and Victoria A. Simmons, great granddaughters Ellie M. and Lilly M. Espey. Also surviving is his brother Carl L. Simmons. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and grandson David L. Simmons.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center in Carmel, Indiana from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Glen will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown,Indiana.
