Gladys V. Alexander

Gladys V. Alexander, 91, passed away November 1, 2013 at Decatur Health Care Center. She was born August 26, 1922 in Clayton the daughter of Hattie (Mynatt) and William Emert. Gladys had worked at Preferred Tomato for many years. She and Mack were married in 1972. Gladys is survived by her husband, Frank "Mack"; daughters, Sandra Sprinkle, Sharon (Melvin) Barger, Dianna (Ron) Melton, and Madonna (Dennie) Key; step sons, Tommy and Timmy Alexander; 14 grandchildren, Steve, Terri, Viv, Rob, Tammy, David, Ronnie, Eric, Starla, Todd, Dawn, Brad, Tonya, and Gina; 27 great grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers and a son-in-law, Don. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 4, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Decatur Health Care - Activity Department.
