Gladys Phillips

Gladys F. (Christian) Phillips was born to Mary & Robert L. Christian on June 2, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN. She was the youngest of their 6 living children and was raised & educated in Indianapolis. She graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She moved to Chicago where she worked and later attended & graduated from Roosevelt College with a BA in Social Work. She completed her education in later years by graduating from Loyola University with Master of Social Work degree. She worked as a social worker for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) until retirement. Following her retirement from CPS, Gladys started a whole new career as a licensed Real Estate Broker with A&M Pearson Realtors. Gladys resided in Homewood, IL until her health declined & she moved to Dolton Nursing Home. She died Oct. 14, 2014. She is survived by her nephew, Paul Brown (Doris), and nieces, Roberta Fortes, Elizabeth Brown, Wanda Lee, Jacqueline Fisher(John), Dorothy May, Miriam Brown(Greg) and many great nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at Flanner & Buchanan-Washington Park North, Indianapolis IN. on Sat. Oct.25, 2014 at 11am. Sincerely, -Your friends at Flanner and Buchanan
