Gladys Jean Clevinger

Gladys Jean Clevinger passed away on November 3, 2020 at her home in Morehead, Kentucky.

She was born February 13, 1936 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky to the late Vencil and Hazel D. Prewitt.

She began her working career at an early age employed by Western Electric, K-Mart, Ginn-Air, and most recently Community Nursing and Rehabilitation. Known as the matriarch of the family, she was very crafty and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She attended Warren Baptist Church.

She is survived by her siblings Charles Prewitt, Billy Prewitt (Donna), Mosie Prewitt, David Prewitt (Kathy), Laura Manuel (Don), Lillian Clevinger (Clayton), Mary Howard (Jack), Carolyn Sue Poindexter (Jackie), Linda Massingille (Ray), and Pam Gutierrez (Dave); sisters-in-law Shavon Prewitt and Leann Prewitt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Clevinger; brothers Edward Dean Prewitt and Vencil Dale Prewitt; and sisters-in-law Ethel Prewitt and Bonnie Prewitt.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 6 from 5-8 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 7 in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
