Gilbert Harley Forsyth

Gilbert Harley Forsyth, 70, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Whitestown. Born on July 10, 1953, in Indianapolis, Gilbert led a life filled with passion and determination.

Described as stubborn yet brave in fighting for his beliefs, Gilbert was known to be an exceptional father, brother, and friend. His unwavering spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many around him.

Apart from his successful career as a Mechanical Engineer, Gilbert found solace in his hobbies. He cherished moments fishing, hunting, and camping up North and on his property South of Terre Haute, where he felt closest to nature.

Gilbert is survived by his son, Cole Forsyth and brother, Donald W. Forsyth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Sue Forsyth; parents, Carson M. and Mary E. Forsyth.

Services to honor and celebrate Gilbert's life will be held at Flanner Buchanan - Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., in Indianapolis. A visitation will take place on the April 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with the funeral service on April 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Zionsville Cemetery in Zionsville, Indiana.
