Gertrude Wethington

Gertrude L. Wethington, 94, of Sheridan, formerly of Zionsville, died July 28, 2012. Gertrude was born June 18, 1918 in Casey County, KY to Matthew Thomas and Victoria Alma Wethington Woodrum; they preceded her in death as did her husband, Joseph R. Wethington; and her sons, Marvin and Hurley Wethington. Gertrude was a dedicated homemaker taking great pride in caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Wethington is survived by her children, Donald Wethington, Louise Eaton, Sue Stapleton, Ted Wethington, and Rose Wethington . She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Thursday, August 2, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak St., Zionsville. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
