Geri L. Armitage, 76 of Indianapolis, IN passed away January 17, 2015. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Geri was a member of the Red Hat Society. The family stated that Geri was warm hearted, and had a special place for most any animals, which she never wanted to see mistreated. She never met a stranger, always placed others before herself and was the family organizer. She will be missed by all who knew her. Geri is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dwight M. Armitage, children, Skip Armitage, Tracy A. (Robert) Welker, Tricia L. (David) Gressle, daughter-in-law, Jamie Armitage, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters, Velma B. Lodes, Dorothy A. Back, and brothers, Jim (Pat) and Ron (Sherry) Pressler. She is preceded in death by her sons, Douglas M. and David M. Armitage, grandchildren, Douglas G. Armitage, Victoria A. Welker, parents, William T. and Cora M. Pressler and her brother, William T. Pressler, Jr. Services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 10 :30 AM at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there Tuesday, January 20, 2015 4-8 PM. Pastor Rick Miller will officiate her service She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Relay for Life C/O West Newton DeMolay or Decatur Twp. Scholarship Association.
