Geraldine Florence Marsh

April 14, 1926 — November 22, 2024

Indianapolis, Indiana U.S.A.

Geraldine (Gerry) Marsh was born Geraldine Florence Ganley on April 14, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in Garfield Heights, Ohio and graduated from John Hay High School. She married John G. Kus on July 19, 1947 and they moved to Northfield, Ohio to live out their dream of owning a small farm in the country. Gerry was widowed in 1958 and left with 3 young daughters to raise. But God stepped in, and on July 18, 1961 she married Wallace H. Marsh, Jr, a widower with 2 sons and a daughter, and an incredible strong family was created.

Gerry and Wally lived in Northfield for 18 years then moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 1979. There they lived on a small lake where Gerry could continue enjoying her life long love of fishing. She was widowed again in 1992 and in 2000 moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to be near her youngest daughter and granddaughter.

Gerry was a loving, wonderful wife, mother to 6 children, grandmother to 12 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 18 great grandchildren. She brought her father into her home and cared for him for many years until his passing. She loved Jesus, her church, and her family. She was a strong prayer warrior. She instilled in her children the importance of education, and a strong desire to succeed in life. She loved her coffee and loved to swim, read, garden and crochet. She crocheted many baby blankets for the Pregnancy Crisis Center in Indianapolis.

She was caring and generous. She loved Christmas. She loved decorating the tree, buying presents for all her children, and creating a magical Christmas morning. She always supported her children in their life goals.

Gerry went to be with Jesus on November 22, 2024. She died peacefully her sleep, in her home, at the age of 98 with 2 of her daughters by her side. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries in Greenville, SC. A ministry Gerry and Wally faithfully supported for many years.
