Geraldine Bailey

Geraldine Bailey, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. She was born on February 14, 1927 in New Castle, IN to John Henry and Earlie (Sorrell) Vannatta. Geraldine was a 1945 graduate of New Castle High School and worked as a Nursing Assistant for St. Vincent Hospital, retiring in 1986. She is survived by her children, Vicki (Carl) Waln, Leannah (George) Gordon, John (Linda) Bailey, Jim (Angie) Bailey; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Geraldine is also survived by her sister, Norma Elliott. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Dale Bailey, who passed away in 2001. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4-8 at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. Funeral services will take place Saturday at 10am, also in the funeral home.
