Gerald William Cannon

Gerald William Cannon, 85, of Indianapolis passed away on December 21, 2021.He was born in Morgantown, KY on August 12, 1936 to the late William and Antha Cannon. Gerald was a graduate of Manuel High School—Class of ’54. After he graduated, he selflessly joined the United States Navy and dutifully served his country until 1957.. He enjoyed fishing in earlier years, dining at the local Waffle House every morning, and eating and drinking a margarita with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson once a week at the Mexican restaurant. In recent years, Gerald became a member of the Knights of Columbus and The American Legion Post 252. Gerald could best be remembered by his easy going nature.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Sherry Steinbrunner (Dan) and his grandson, Chase.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his 4 siblings.

 A graveside service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington St.
