Gerald Lee Lewis

Indianapolis, Indiana – Gerald Lee Lewis, 62, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2025. Devoted to his family, his care for those in his life will be deeply missed.

Gerald was born in Indianapolis to parents Jack & Janet Lewis on December 20, 1962. He graduated from Speedway High School before finding work at Case New Holland.

A die-hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Florida State Seminoles, Jerry was never without his Chiefs gear. Growing up in Speedway, two blocks from the track, Jerry made the Indianapolis 500 a cornerstone of his life.

Jerry is survived by his son, Dalton Lewis; wife Beth Lewis; and several grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 11 – 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with burial taking place immediately after at Washington Park East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
