Gerald "Jerry" K. Korn 85 of Indianapolis passed away on September 17, 2014. He was born on July 27, 1929 in Indianapolis to Orville Reed Korn and Cleora Nellie(Randal) Korn. Jerry graduated from Tech High School and served our country in the United States Army. He was a typewriter repair man and worked for Rex Machines in Indianapolis. Jerry married Betty Jane Hoagland on October 06, 1956 and she preceded him in death on February 13, 2014. Jerry was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was involved with Boy Scouts as a Leader for over 70 years and he loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Indianapolis Downtown Optimist club and he was a Shriner.
Jerry is survived by his son Keith Alan (Karen) Korn; granddaughters, Victoria (Brian) Dumpert and Deanna (John) Menefee; great grandchildren, Oliver and Abigail Dumpert. He is also survived by his sister, Pat Brower, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jerry will be held on Monday September 22, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 4 to 8 pm. On Tuesday September 23, 2014 there will be a funeral service at Wesley United Methodist Church at 11 am with one hour of calling prior to the service at church.
