Gerald 'Jerry' Allen Carter

Gerald (Jerry) Allen Carter entered our world on May 19, 1942 and went to be with Our Lord on July 13, 2013. Jerry lived in Carmel, IN. He passed away with his wife, daughters, and priest at his side. He was preceded in death by his first wife Constance Carrico Carter, his father Eldred "Pete" Carter, and his mother, Dorothy Berlier Carter. Survivors are his wife, Mary (Olinger), daughters, Renee (Jeff) Anderson, Regina (Greg) Evans, and Mary's daughter, Melissa (Steve) Brady; brother James (Debi) Carter, sisters Connie Kirby, Bonnie Stoelinga, and Marian (Karl) Ahern. His grandchildren are: Jackson, Carter, Katelynn, Kaitlyn Rose, Aiden, and Rachel along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jerry was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods, and many other organizations. Jerry was an avid golfer, tennis player, and any other sports activity that would come along. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Nothing was more important to Jerry than his faith in God, his tremendous love of family and friends. His generous heart and soul will be missed by all. Visitation for Jerry will take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 1045 W. 146th Street Carmel, Indiana from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16th and Mass of a Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 17th 10:00 am. Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church or Merciful H.E.L.P Center and Little Sisters of the Poor - St. Augustine's Home.
