Gerald 'Gerry' Clevinger

Gerald "Jack" Clevinger, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, April 07, 2012 at his home. He was born in Pike County, KY son of Ernest and Bessie (Davis) Clevinger. Gerald retired from Chrysler in 1986. He was a walker at Washington Square Mall having surpassed the 100,000 mile mark in 2010. He loved to visit with his friends at the mall who knew him as Gerry. He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Prewitt) Clevinger; his daughter, Wendelin Clevinger McArthy and her husband Gary of Indianapolis; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Graham and his wife Mindy and Evan Graham; 4 great- grandchildren, Owen Kyle, Landon and Piper; 2 brothers, Carl Clevinger of Morehead, KY and Clayton Clevinger of Graham, NC; and his sister, Betty Workman of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earnest Clevinger, Jr. Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
