Gerald E. Lindsey

Gerald "Jerry" Lindsey 74, of Speedway, went home to be with his Savior on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. He was born on July 23, 1938 in Indianapolis to Ira and Corda Mae Lindsey. Jerry worked for GM Allison Transmission, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene and also enjoyed traveling, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy and ballgames on TV. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sara Lindsey; children, David (Kasey) Lindsey, Mark Lindsey and Beth Lindsey; grandchildren, Greg, Kayla, Ryan, Hannah and Mason. Jerry is also survived by brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Lindsey; brother –in-law, Don Harper and sister-in-law, Betty Jean Lindsey. He was preceded in death by brothers, Hayward and William Lindsey; sisters, Frances Wray, Martha Harper and Regina Boyles. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway at 10am. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
