Georgia N. Clunie passed peacefully on September 4th with her daughter at her side holding her hand. Georgia was born in Tripoli Greece to Nikolas Tsilimigra and Garifalia Gavrilos on May 14, 1931. She came to the United States on January 10, 1951 where she first lived in Pennsylvania with family. She then moved to Indianapolis in 1953 where she met and married Russell Clunie and had 3 beautiful children. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for nearly 60 years. She was a member of the Philoptochos, Daughters of Penelope, and a past Parish Council member. She also served the church as the sexton to the priest for 18 years as well as friend and confidant to many. Georgia never met a stranger and loved to be with family, as well as her church family. She has numerous God children, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a tremendous amount of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, and her daughter Gloria. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Wilson (Marty), her son James Clunie (Mirela), grandchildren Jeff Phelps (Christy), Christina Clunie, Nikolas Clunie, Todd Clunie, and Travis Clunie, her great-grandchildren Austin Beedy, Zane Beedy, and Skylar Phelps, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. Calling for Georgia is scheduled for Monday September 08, 2014 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 3500 West 106th Street Carmel, IN 46032 from 4 to 8 pm with a Trisagion Service at 6:30 pm. Additional calling will be scheduled on Tuesday September 09, 2014 from 10 am to 11 am followed by the Funeral Service at 11 am. Memorial contributions may be given to the church in Georgia's memory. Georgia was loved by many and will be missed by all. May her memory be eternal.
