Georgia Jones

July 8, 1956 — October 19, 2025

Indianapolis

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Georgia Ramage Jones, a devoted woman of God, who entered eternal rest on October 19, 2025, at the age of 69

Georgia lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and selflessness. Her love for the Lord guided everything she did—from the way she cared for her family to how she served others in her community. She had a heart that was always open, hands that were always helping, and a spirit that brought comfort to all who knew her.

She was a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother, a loving sister, and a cherished friend. Though she was a private person, her quiet strength and gentle presence made a lasting impact. She had a special way of making people feel seen, valued, and deeply loved—often through a warm smile, a kind word, or her infectious laughter. And she gave the best hugs—the kind that wrapped you in peace, made you feel safe, and let you know you mattered.

Throughout her life, Georgia poured herself into serving others. She worked tirelessly at Gleaners Food Bank for 30 years, supported families through her work in hospice care, and gave her heart to nurturing children through childcare ministry. She also served on the board of The Gathering Together, where her compassion helped guide care for those at the end of life. Her life was a living testimony of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Those who knew her will remember her joyful spirit, her sense of humor, and her unwavering kindness. She carried herself with grace and humility, always putting others before herself.

She is survived by Children: Brandon Jones, Ella Jones Carr, Jennifer King (Lamont) Grandchildren: Devon, Brandon, Jaylen, Jordan Jones, Aaliyah, Alisha Carr, Breanna Jackson, Elijah King. Sister: Jerrie Snell (David). Brothers: Brad Ramage (Michelle) Rex Ramage (Cheryl), A host of nieces and nephews, along with countless others whose lives she touched with compassion and generosity.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday October 26, 2025 at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington Street Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00am and services immediately after. All are welcome to join in honoring her remarkable life.
