She is survived by her son, Bradley (Anita) of Menasha, WI. By her side over the past few years was her best friend and beloved companion, Roland Hiles of Indianapolis, IN. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Chet Cannaday Georgian and Chet were married on January 15, 1945 in Waukegan, IL (where Chet was stationed during World War II at the Great Lakes Naval Base). Georgia and Chet returned to Indianapolis in 1947 and started their own laundry operation located close to downtown Indianapolis. Georgia and Chet moved to Terre Haute, Indiana in 1950 for the start of Chet's lifetime career in the Automotive market, and then returned to Indianapolis in 1952, where she remained the remainder of her life (with the exception of a move to Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1961 to 1963). Georgia had a life-long love of Nashville, Indiana (Brown County) where she and Chet spent the majority of their week-ends from the 1960's through the 1990's at their cabin. She loved to take "day trips" to Northern Indiana, Shelbyville and West Baden, Indiana. She remained very active with the Tech High School Alumni Association and attended all annual functions. Through the years, she always enjoyed time with George & Gladys Walker, Darrell Keller, Carol Keller and their entire family, as well as close friends Eddie and Alice Bell, Winnie Corlett, Sue Matthews and Marilyn Bunner and their families. In later years, Georgia and very close friend Roland Hiles spent the majority of their time traveling, attending church functions and going to antique shows. There was never a dull moment in Georgia's life from ongoing activities, discussions, following Indiana high school and college sports events and an ongoing passion to enjoy every bit of life. Sincere gratitude goes out to Neta Norkus, Gayle Zumpe and Sal Redmond from Hospice…..they were very loving and caring over the past few months.
