George Wert

George L. Wert 84 of Indianapolis, IN passed away October 3, 2012. George was born February 7, 1928 to the late George D. & Elva Hamilton Wert. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for Indiana Bell for 35 years retiring in 1989. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Wert. Survivors include children- Andrew (Shannon), Joseph (Younse), Gregory (Anna) and William (Martha) Wert, sister- Ann (Robert) Spencer and 7 grandchildren. Service will be 10:00 am Monday, October 8, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple with calling Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery in Matthews, Indiana. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society.
