George W. Franklin
87, of Indianapolis, died October 23, 2014. George was born on February 22, 1927 in Lafayette, Tennessee to Hershel and Lassie Parker Franklin. George served his country in the US Army during World War II. After serving his country, he worked as a machine operator for Mill Turn Corporation, retiring in 1993. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Masonic Lodge #669. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Tonita MacCammon. He is survived by his children Dwight Franklin, Sharma Daugherty, Tonita Franklin, Dennie Franklin, a brother Jerry Franklin, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11am-1pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Floral Park, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm in the funeral center. Burial will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
