George W. Jones

George W. Jones, 80, of Speedway, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012. He was born on February 22, 1932 in Stanford, KY to Isaac D. and Laura (Wheeler) Jones. George served his country in the U.S. Army and he worked as a machine repairman for General Motors for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathryn L. Jones; sons, George D. "Dan" (Janice) Jones and Michael D. Jones (girlfriend-Jennifer Matthews); grandchildren, Kelly M. Jones and Kourtney D. Jones; brother, Osby Jones. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1pm, with visitation 2 hours prior to the services.
