George W. Hart

George Hart 87 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully with his son, Gregory by his side. George was born near Lansing, MI with a love of music, excelling in piano and vocal as a youth. He shared this gift throughout his life. He married Wanda Caldwell while attending Michigan State. They enjoyed 52 years together before her death in 2009. They came to Indianapolis in the 1950's. George accepted a position in food service management at IUPUI where he retired after 30 years. George was active in his church and in the Scottish Rite. He will be remembered by friends and family for his kind and generous heart, displayed in his words, and in his actions and handwritten notes. Calling will be on Saturday March 14, 2015 at John Knox Presbyterian Church 3000 North High School Road Indianapolis, IN 46224 from 10 am to Noon followed be a Memorial Service at Noon. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's favorite charity. Inurnment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN. Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway are handling arrangements.
