George Gaffney

November 26, 1930 — February 18, 2012

George Baker Gaffney, 81 of Indianapolis passed away February 18, 2012. He was a Marine during the Korean War. George was employed for 35 years at Western Electric. He also worked at Mayflower Transit as owner/operator , and was a driver for Tom O'Brien Chrysler. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, American Legion, North side Kof C, Telephone Pioneers and Butler Alumni. George was a football coach at Christ the King Catholic Church CYO . He was a grounds keeper at Haverford Little League and Senior League. He was a graduate of Butler University. George is survived by his wife Barbara (Tutterow) Gaffney; daughter Kelley Gaffney Rowe and her husband Steve; son Michael G. Gaffney, and sister Jean Gaffney Burton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 24, 10am at ,St Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E. 56th Street, with visitation Thursday, February 23, from 4 to 8pm at the Flanner and Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
