George G. Kovacs

George G. Kovacs, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at St. Francis South Hospital. George was born June 6, 1935 in Papά, Hungary to Andre and Anna Kovacs. George immigrated to Indianapolis, Indiana in late 50's. He started Kovacs Painting shortly after, and later passed the company down to his son Tom. He had a fond love of scratch off lotto tickets, game shows, coffee, and the weather channel. George is survived by his son Tom (Mary) Kovacs, grandchildren Christopher (Kim) Barnett, Joshua (Tara) Barnett, Brandi (Jeremiah) Macer, Thomas (Karyssa) Kovacs, great grandchildren Kayla, Brynn, Noah, Elijah, Ezekiel, Sophia, and Ella. He is also survived by previous wife Elizabeth Storey, brother Sandor Kovacs, Sam (Meg) Kovacs, Rick(Kim) Kovacs, Suzie (Chris) McKnight and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Andre and Anna Kovacs and sister-in-law Terrez Kovacs. Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, followed by a service at 1 PM. In lieu of flower donations can be made to the family to aid in funeral expenses.
