George Coons

May 1, 1923 — January 14, 2013

George Coons 89 of Noblesville, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away among family Monday morning at Riverwalk Village. He was a decorated veteran of WW II; serving in the 207 Combat Engineers; he was a former Lawrence Township Constable and was a former city wide circulation manager for the Indianapolis Times. He was married to Lillian (Boughton) Coons who preceded him in death. Survivors: son, Nathan (Mary) Coons of Carmel, IN; granddaughter, Rachel Vincent of Westfield, IN and 4 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park 9350 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Flanner and Buchanan. Msgr. William Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. You are invited to go to the Guest Book page to pass along your personal message or tell a story.
