George Coons

George Coons 89 of Noblesville, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away among family Monday morning at Riverwalk Village. He was a decorated veteran of WW II; serving in the 207 Combat Engineers; he was a former Lawrence Township Constable and was a former city wide circulation manager for the Indianapolis Times. He was married to Lillian (Boughton) Coons who preceded him in death. Survivors: son, Nathan (Mary) Coons of Carmel, IN; granddaughter, Rachel Vincent of Westfield, IN and 4 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park 9350 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Flanner and Buchanan.
