George W. "Bill" Lashley, 91, of Indianapolis went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2013. He was born on February 24, 1922 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Walter and Olive (Nash) Lashley. George was a Truck Driver for Penn Truck Lines, Nice-Pak and was even self-employed as a truck driver at one time. George served in the U S Army during WWII and attended The Wesleyan Holiness Church. He is survived by his children, Teresa (Brian) Tarter, Jerry and Randall "Joe" Lashley, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Maxine Alfrey, Mary Ferree, Sharon Williams, and brothers, Carl and Roy Lashley. On December 22, 1939 George and Ruth Evans were joined in holy matrimony and enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage before her death. Services will be at 1 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there Thursday, December 26th from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery with military honors.
