Genevieve 'Fern' Doty

Genevieve "Fern" Doty, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was born on September 15, 1931 in Newton, Iowa to Albert Harold and Jeanette Barbara (Townsend) McGriff. Fern was a graduate of Indiana Business College and worked as a Clerk for Middle Atlantic Warehouse, retiring in 1996. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. Fern is survived by her children, Don (Darla) Doty, Douglas (Marilyn) Doty, Richard (Laura) Doty, Karen Doty; grandchildren, Derek (Erin), Kyndra, Dustin (Malorie), Kada, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Owen and Hannah. She is also survived by sisters, Georgia and Sarah. Fern was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Doty, Sr. and siblings, Miriam and Douglas. Visitation will be held at John Knox Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 4pm until 7pm, with a memorial service scheduled at 7pm.
