Genell L. Jones, 77, of Indianapolis passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born May 13, 1936 in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Garfield and Beatrice Jackson Stovall.
Genell loved to go fishing and hunting with her husband. She truly enjoyed being out in the beauty of nature. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. For twenty years, she worked for the City of Indianapolis and worked as Manager of Parking Meters for five years. Upon her retirement in 1991, she was able to pursue her true passion – spending time loving her family.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years Scott Jones; her son Martin Scott (Annette Marie) Jones; grandchildren Matthew Scott Jones and Allison Marie Jones; siblings Betty J. (Chester) Neal, Brenda J. (Randy) Denton, and Monty C. Stovall; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Genell is preceded in death by her siblings William A. Stovall, "Joe" Wayne Stovall, and Judy Brown.
