Gearline Durnil-Yorger, 82, of Brownsburg passed away on October 8, 2022. She was born in Greenwood, Indiana to parents, Renzo Kessinger and Linda B. Grant-Kessinger, on July 11, 1940.
She was a long-time member of Sanctuary Church of Beech Grove and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. One of Gearline’s favorite activities included going out square dancing with her late husband at the Swinging Singles Square Dancing Club.
Gearline had a love for her flowers and to watch the hummingbirds and cardinals make their daily appearances. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by many.
Gearline is survived by her children, Debbie (Bill) Davis, Jack (Janice) Durnil, and Donna Dunagan; stepchildren, Dawn (Sam) Moore, Dana (Larry) Blakely and Laura Yorger; brother, Alford (Linda) Kessinger; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Renzo and Linda Kessinger; husbands, Jack Durnil and Carl Yorger; daughter, Theresa Lawrence; and son-in-law, Mickie Dunagan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 11am-1pm, with a funeral service immediately following visitation at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. Entombment will take place after the service at Washington Park East Cemetery.
