Gearldine R. Rush

Gearldine R. Rush, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011. She was born in Burkesville, KY to Ras and Mary Dimple (Spears) Willis. Gearldine was a gifted seamstress; making quilts, dolls and most of her own clothing. She also loved reading and collecting cookbooks. Gearldine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Delton Rush; daughter, Pat (John) Charlesworth; grandchildren, Brandon Burch, Gina (Le) Whaley; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Bowen, Kerri, Kevin, Katherine and Kenny Whaley. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Deweese and brother, Vernon Willis. Gearldine was preceded in death by her parents and 4 sisters. Funeral services for Mrs. Rush will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11am at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Indianapolis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Entombment will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
