Gaylon J Dodd

Gaylon J. Dodd of Indianapolis passed away on February 11, 2022 at the age of 79 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 4, 1942 in Lynn, Alabama to the late Thomas Alonzo Dodd and Nettie Lou (Lynn) Dodd.

He moved to Indianapolis for a job only to meet the love of his life Charlotte. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 40 years most recently as an Inspector. He was member of the United Auto Workers Local 1111.

He left quite a legacy with his family which includes his wife of 60 years Charlotte Ann (McDonald) Dodd; children Pamella Ann Stites (husband Paul) and the late Gregory Gaylon Dodd (wife Dawn); grandchildren Quinten Wood, Lori Smith, Paul Gaylon Stites, Carlie Stites, Gaylon Jacob Dodd, Nicole Wiley, Amanda Ayers, Sam Callahan, Dharma Brumfield, Jenna Beindorf, and Hannah Dodd; and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Community Life Center at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10612 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.  Funeral Services will begin at 1 PM.  He will be laid to rest with his son Gregory in New Palestine Cemetery.
