Gary

Gary- Came to this earth Sept 24, 1960, where he shared his childhood life with 7 siblings, all different personalities. Which lead him to finding his own space among them to become the Man he was.

Gary- being the middle child developed his own unique personality, that as an adult could make him misunderstood by outsiders BUT by no means stopped him from walking tall as he moved in this life.

Gary – Was a man that if you truly understand him, you could not love or have not liked him just as he was.  He was stubborn at times, challenging, and a personality that was HIM.

Gary – Just wanted to live his life peacefully and have fun doing so if he felt he was not hurting anyone AND he did just that!

Gary – as those how knew him well knew he had many difficulties in his life, but that never stopped him from being strong and able to always take care of business and himself.

Gary – was kind, soft spoken (but could speak out when he felt it necessary especially on his FB page as all knew (even though he held the record for being blocked by them), and most of all had a heart of gold and went above and beyond for you if he knew you needed something or help, he was there!

Gary – was fond of 80’s upbeat pop music, STEVIE (Gary could *belt* a tune), and many of us remember his fondness for Kung Fu!  He loved anything to do our different galaxies, space and sci-fi, Star Trek being was one of his favorite series. His comic book collection was awesome, Team Marvel: The Hulk and Fantastic Four were some of his favorites!

Gary – loved our Downtown and to frequent everyday playing his harmonica for therapy and help GET HIS ENDORPHINS ON as he would say.  He loved his bicycle and rode it as his only transportation for years through the city.

Gary – was not perfect but was keenly interested in doing the right thing by people, and as he grew, by God.  Life dealt him a harsh hand many times, yet he took what he had and played it as well as he could.  Any knowledge he would gain he strived to share with others.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Marie Madison, siblings, Leonard Bradford-Bay, Harold Madison Jr, Kenneth Madison, Naim Madison, and JoAnn Kay Madison.

Gary leaves to cherish his memories his loving father, H Karriem Abdullah (Irving M. Abdullah-El); brother, Michael (KC), Andrew, JonMarc (Joy); sisters, Cheryl Anthony (Mark), Dianne Madison Montgomery (Marq), Malika Abdullah, and Jamillah Abdullah; nieces and nephews, Tammy Crumsey, Jakki Davis,  Que Wilder, Kinaeth Madison, Karen Madison, Teresa Bradley, Blake Anthony, Aine Montgomery, Alexis and Amber Madison and, Jaylie, Jaden, Journey, Jovi, and Jubilee Madison; and a host of great nieces and nephews.  Gary LOVED FAMILY & FB was his playground ❣️ LOL.

We would like to end by just say GARY like most of us worked hard. He was a high school athlete, worked 9-5 hard his whole life holding down jobs at IU, with the city, UPS (19yrs) and even served in the Marines BUT none of that GARY wanted to be remembered by! GARY just wanted a simple life leaving behind information on what he learned on harmonica therapy, the ills of mental illness, speaking out on the unjustness that is happening and he just wanted to have FUN!

So, in conclusion in the words of
