Gary Stewart Licho 70, Winter Haven, FL passed away July 8, 2012, with his family and friends by his side. He was born April 29, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of the late Gust and Ruth (Turner) Licho. Gary married Elizabeth (La'Ffoon) Licho on January 11, 1996. Gary was a graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis. He was an original west-sider. His first job was with Kraft Foods, working his way up the ladder with Sysco Foods, serving as Vice President of Operations before retiring in August, 2011. Gary's career took him to many locations after Indianapolis; he lived in Des Moines, IA; San Francisco, CA; Philadelphia, PA; and Lincoln, IL. Gary was also a reserve Speedway Police officer for part of his career while working in Indianapolis. Gary was a very hardworking man that loved spending time with his family and friends. He has touched countless lives and has helped many. Gary will be cherished by each and every one of his numerous family members and friends. To know him was to love him. He had a passion for life and a fabulous sense of humor. Everyone who was near him was constantly smiling or laughing. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (La'Ffoon) Licho; daughters, Cynthia Arndt and Dawn Martin; adopted son, Scott Graham; five grandchildren; sister, Sandra Licho. Gary was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Sidney Licho and his parents. Services for Gary will be at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Gary who we all loved so dearly; you will be truly missed. Gary, Dad, Grandpa, you will be forever in our hearts.
