Gary Moore

Gary W. Moore, 82, of Zionsville, died October 16, 2013. Mr. Moore was born December 12, 1930 in Boone County to Paul W. and Charlotte Opal Miller Moore; they preceded him in death as did his brother, John Moore; his sister, Anna J. Roesinger; and his great grandson, Sean William Culley. Mr. Moore was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He was a math and science teacher for 36 years having taught two years in Wabash school district before enjoying a 34 year career at Zionsville Community High School where he retired from in 1990. Mr. Moore was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, former member of the Zionsville Jaycees, and was active in Cub Scout Pack/Boy Scout Troop #358 in Zionsville. He is survived by his wife, Beverly June Harmon Moore; his sons, Walter H. Moore (Lora) of Lebanon, Joseph P. Moore of Indianapolis, and Daniel D. Moore (Becky) of Grovetown, GA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jeremy Moore, Keith Moore, Kimberly Moore, and Leia Moore; and his great-grandchildren, Lilly Jane Culley and Amber Lynn Moore. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Friday, October 18, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday also at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery, Zionsville.
