Gary Dale Mitchell

Gary Dale Mitchell 65 of Indianapolis, IN passed away April 10, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was a retired Safety Coordinator for Bryant-Carrier Co. for 35 years of dedicated service. He also worked and played at Frank's Transmission. He enjoyed woodworking making miniature furniture of all kinds and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family vacationing yearly with them in Panama City, Florida. He was always ready and willing to help family and friends and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving children, Nancy Ann, Robert Dale(Tammy), Ronnie Ray (Rachel), grandchildren, Chris, Dustin, Shelby, Harley, step-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Cameron, Donnie, Demarcus, great grandchildren, Austin, Kristina, Khloeanne, step great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Katie, Briana, Aubrey, brothers, Jim (Karen), Bud (Barb), sisters, Loretta Works, Sharon (Norman) Taylor, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his devoted and beloved wife of 42 years, Shirley Ann Ray-Mitchell, parents, James and Marie Mitchell, sisters, Mary and Margaret. Services will be held Saturday April 14, 2012 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there today April 13th 4-8 PM. Entombment will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
