Garvin G. Sexton II
76, of Indianapolis, IN passed away March 13, 2013 at IU Medical Center. He was born January 25, 1937 in Jasonville, IN. Garvin was an veteran and served in the Marines, was honorably discharged and reenlisted a few years later with the Army. He enjoyed numerous hobbies including playing poker, traveling especially to Arizona, fishing, golfing, working on crosswords puzzles and anything related to the great outdoors. He was a very optimist individual and never saw a reason not to be! Garvin belonged to the American Founderman Association was a Mason and started a Mustang Club several years ago. Garvin is survived by his wife of 54 years Judith "Judy" Sexton, Sons Robert "Bob" and Ronald "Ron" Sexton. Grandson Robert "Bobby" Sexton Jr. Brothers Earl (Alice) Sexton, sisters Yolanda (Danny) Barton, Regina Patterson and close friend Kenny Whisman. Preceded in death by parents Garvin and Elsie Sexton and Brother Phillip Sexton. The family will like to extend their great appreciation to the staff at IU Medical Center, especially the nurses of the Simon Cancer Center for the diligent care they gave to Garvin.
