Garry Allen Scotten

Garry Allen Scotten of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on May 4, 2026, at 73 years of age. He was born on April 9, 1953, in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Harlen and Edna (Mantooth) Scotten. Garry was a Snowplow Driver for the City of Indianapolis for over 30 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Decatur Central High School. Garry enjoyed tinkering with cars, listening to Classic Country Music, and meeting up with his friends from North Salem and work friends from Indianapolis for lunch to catch up with life events and to enjoy each other’s company. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Garry is survived by his loving wife, whom he married March 16, 1979, Judith Kay (Beaver) Scotten, his daughter, Leanna Scotten, his granddaughter, Ember Jones, his sister, Rebecca Coffey, his brother, Richard Scotten, his 6 nieces, their children and a host of friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Amanda K. Fox. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46221. His Funeral Service will follow immediately at 2:00pm with burial at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Indiana.
