Garry L. Ring

Garry L. Ring, 70, of Martinsville, Indiana, passed away on August 31, 2023. He was born on April 14, 1953, in Greenfield, Indiana, to parents, Arthur and Ima (Garner) Ring.  

He was in the car dealership business for 43 years. He loved the Baltimore orioles and Butler basketball. His hobbies were cooking, working in his beautiful yard, and completing puzzles. He loved the occasional casino trips with his kids. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family.

Garry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Ring; children, Shelley (Patty) Rae, Steven (Shellie) Cannon, Tammy (Ron) Mihalcsik, Teri (Tom) Cannon, Lora (Mike) Ring McCormick, and Charlie (Lynn) Cannon; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his brother, John Ring; and will be missed by many other family members and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad Ring; brother, Wayne Ring; and his sister, Donna Miller.  

A Memorial Gathering for Garry will be from 1-4pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East – 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will take place at a later date at Washington Park East Cemetery.
