Garrett R. Bays

Garrett R. Bays, 89, of Speedway died May 23, 2011. Garrett was a US Marine Corps veteran serving in WW II. He retired as a Quality Control specialist for RCA, was a member of the 7th and 8th Christian Church and a very proud Speedway resident and avid race fan. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Friday in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Floral Park, with visitation there from 10 AM until time of service. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Garret was preceded in death by his wife LaVonne R. Bays. Survivors include his daughters: Victoria Cardwell, Nancy Allender, Carole Dunham and Myra Bays, brothers Wendell Bays and Dennis Bays, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
