Garrett Thomas Duke, 33, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on September 30, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on January 28, 1993, Garrett was a 2011 graduate of North Central High School. Immediately following high school, he proudly joined the U.S. Army National Guard. As a Private First Class (PFC), his dedication and discipline shone early as he graduated at the top of his class. Garrett carried that same strength, honor, and resilience throughout his life and his deep love for his family.
Garrett is survived by his loving wife, Marri (Marrissa) Duke; his devoted parents, Donny (Donald) and Marty (Marlin) Duke; his grandmother, Margaret Duke; his brother, Dillon M. Duke; and his sister, Brandi Renee Holaday. He is also survived by two nieces, one nephew, and a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Harold Duke, and his grandmother, Joy Wanita Burger.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to contribute send memorial donations to the Little Red Door Cancer Agency. At this time, a celebration of life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
"Though his time with us was far too short, the depth of his love and the strength of his spirit will stay with us forever."
