G. Darlene Batman-McKinzie

G. Darlene Batman-McKinzie 56, Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2013. Darlene was born in Waverly, Indiana on January 17, 1957 the daughter of Henry Melvin and Opal Louise (House) Gibson. She had worked as a manager for over 20 years at Mr. Dan's and was a caregiver of many children in her home for several years. Darlene was a member of New Life Gospel Church. She is survived by her husband, William McKinzie; daughters, Danna Batman (husband, Michael), Tonya Wombles (husband, Tony) and Brandy Batman; brother, Samuel L. Gibson; sister, Ruth Lavern Coss and 5 grandchildren, Aleah and Dillin Newhouse, Alexis Wombles, Beefy and Scoobert. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Peggy Anderson and her first husband, Danny Batman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park 425 N. Holt Road. Visitaton will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
