Freida Fern Roos

Freida Fern Roos, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away August 2, 2023.  She was born on February 29, 1936 in Posey County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charlie and Lela Creek.  She married William (Bill) Roos on November 26, 1958.  He preceded her in passing on January 22, 2023 after 64 years of marriage.

Freida was a graduate of New Harmony High School, New Harmony, IN in 1954.  She attended business school in Evansville while working as a switchboard operator at the hospital. She retired from Best Lock Corporation.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Barb) Roos and Jim (Anita) Roos; daughter-in-law, DeeDee Roos; six grandchildren, Noal, Darren, Nick, Heather, Jonathan, and David; and 13 great grandchildren, Xzavier, Chloe, Megan, Evan, Owen, Esther, Charlotte, Alexander, Elliot, Emma, Autumn, Ruby, and Ember. She was preceded in passing by her three brothers, Charles, Jr., Darrell, and Carol Creek.

Services will be at 12 noon Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 8140 Union Chapel Road. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
